Title: 17.7.3 Update problem
Post by: phoenix on September 19, 2017, 02:51:32 pm
The update via the web UI seems to be remarkably slow, for the last 15 minutes it's been sitting at this:

Code: [Select]
Updating OPNsense repository catalogue ....Is there currently a problem with the downloads? Can this be canceled and restarted later?

Try [F5], it's safe. If it comes back with no update, it may have updated fine. Check dashboard version to be sure.

H Franco

Hmm, that returns the following and the version still shows 17.7.2:

Code: [Select]
Firmware status check was aborted internally. Please try again.Would an update through the console be the next thing to try?

Restart configd under Services: Diagnostics and try again first. Console definitely works, as it does not go through the backend daemon.

No good same message, a reboot seems to have done the trick - it's updating now. :)

[edit] Update worked fine , new version shows on the dashboard. Sorry for the noise.

Still a bit iffy, the firmware page does so many things in the background (changelog, packages, plugins) that the requests can deadlock. Need to find out why. Thanks for the report in any case.
