Depends on why it dumped, there is a log under /tmp/installer.log with all commands it runs.

I haven't seen the installer dump in a number years with the official releases, amd64 or i386, small/old hardware or big/new.

The Dell PowerEdge R330 is much happier after we updated the firmware for both BIOS and RAID. Oddly, it had accepted installation of pfSense previously. Guess the underlying FreeBSD versions of the two forks are different enough that hardware compatibility differs.

There were several places where the OPNsense installer choked before we updated the firmware.
