Title: Remote Logging : Not auto start after reboot
Post by: interkrome on August 02, 2017, 03:45:35 am
Hi everyone,

How do i go about making the remote logging service runs automatically each time after reboot. Currently i need to click "Save" everytime after reboot, only then i get the logging at remote server.

Here is my build information :

OPNsense 17.1.11_1-i386
FreeBSD 11.0-RELEASE-p10
OpenSSL 1.0.2l 25 May 2017

p/s: the logging service in opnsense runs (i can see the log in the portal) only it didn't send to the remote server that i've setup.

The boot restarts syslog after the boot is complete, which should do what you want, but apparently does not. What link type (DHCP, static address) and remote situation are we talking about? WAN type or internal LAN?

Cheers,
Franco

The remote server is WAN type with static ip and specific port which both is allowed at the firewall rule.

p/s: thinking of using monit to run that function
