Title: WAN port replacement wont connect to internet
Post by: lucromick on July 30, 2017, 11:23:59 am
Hello all,

A port on my NIC started to act up so I need to put it on a new port. I copied over its IP/gateway, Firewall rules, and NAT says it was using auto outband with the interface. Yet, I still cant connect to the internet. I've tried pinging 8.8.8.8 or using tracert directly from the WAN interface but nothings getting through.

Any thoughts on possible troubleshooting steps I could go through?

Thanks!

Depends on your WAN configuration; DHCP, PPPoE, static? If you have made an exact copy, did that include cloning the old NIC's MAC address?

Didnt mess with the MAC Address and we use static WAN IPs.
