Post by: jarif on July 29, 2017, 01:19:48 am
I setup CA, server and client for this OpenVPN. But nowever was offered a download of an .ovpn file for the client?

How is it done?

Thanks in advance!

VPN, OpenVPN, Client export, Select the drop-down next to the username for the appropriate ovpn format.

The inline configuration files are the easiest, since they are self-contained.

There is not clients, usernames etc. Help says it is a misconception between certificates, but I have created certs for both the client and server using same CA.

You need users to connect to a remote access VPN. Have a look at this guide: https://www.kirkg.us/posts/building-an-openvpn-server-with-opnsense/

Things are a lot simpler with a site-to-site OpenVPN connection. Which type do you want to set up?
