Title: [Help] NTop, DPI, Filters
Post by: cardins2u on July 25, 2017, 10:54:20 pm
1. Do we plan to implement better graphics similar to NTop, or daily/user statistics. I live in a neighborhood where we share 1GB fiber with 15 houses. It would be nice to keep track of daily bandwidth of each vlans/users in that vlan.

2. DPI - will we ever get some deep packet inspections that we can use to display graphs similar to Unifi Controller USG graphs?

3. Anyone have any other suggestion beside Shalla's list. It doesn't work too well. I believe that list is dead.

We have our own network insight available (https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/insight.html?highlight=insight) , which uses standard netflow.

Some other blacklist suggestions are mentioned in our docs https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/proxywebfilter.html

yeah I see that. It only stores 100mbs of netflow data.

could we increase that ammount ?

I like to store atleast 6 month traffic or more.

It aggregates the data (per interface/source/port), where daily statistics are kept for a year, detailed data is kept shorter as it tends to grow very quickly.
