Title: Update causes continuous logging request pfctl byte/packet counters
Post by: mw01 on July 19, 2017, 01:32:03 am
Update from 17.1.9 to 17.1.10-amd64 went well.  Noted open Dashboard causes endless logging of configd.py: [ ] request pfctl byte/packet counters, which is a change.

Turns out the periodic updates of the Interface List are now logged.

Hi there,

Yes, the backend calls were always logged, but it is a new dimension now with backend calls in the widget auto-refresh.

We are not sure what to do, maybe separate the backend log, at least for normal logging of non-error things.

Cheers,
Franco

Thank you.

What caught my eye was the change on the syslog aggregator - what is normal.  There is a configd.py-log file that contains the daemon start message and the request pfctl byte/packet counters went to the ip-log file.

Logging is good.  Please use your best judgement (as always).   :)

Hello,
the problem is still current in version 17.7.10.
I hope there will be a solution in the future.
Thank you

It's not a problem. It happens when you open the dashboard...
