Title: [SOLVED] User activity Logs
Post by: ak2017 on July 18, 2017, 07:07:23 pm
Is there a way for me to get weekly report on user activity, things like what the user searched for and which website they went to?

The web proxy can log this in detail if used. There's also a bit of visualisation packages available, e.g. lightsquid.

Hi,
from en ethic point of view, this is not really nice. If you reside in the EU, there are also some laws, which prohibit tracking your employees / users without their knowledge. From my personal opinion we've already enough "1984"...
Best regards,
Wayne

Actually, it's essential to track/log user activities by law for schools, colleges etc in the UK

That's really sad... I think if Orwell was living nowadays he'd be completely shocked.

Just found your old post franco.

Added lightsquid and sarg to the packages for 15.7.25 and up. Note that these need to be installed from the command line and operated manually until someone steps up and helps to write a proper plugin for the GUI. Thanks guys!

# pkg install lightsquid
# pkg install sarg
