Title: Default gateway down setting as default!

Seit dem Update auf 17.1.7 erscheinen andauernd folgende Logs, weiß jemand was das zu bedeuten hat?
Der Fehler tritt jedesmal auf, wenn ich mich bei OPNsense im GUI anmelde, oder das Dashboard neu lade / nur lade; diese Logs waren vor dem Update aber definitiv nicht da.

Gateway in OPNsense unter System > Gateways (dynamic, online) zeigt an:
KABEL_DHCP (default)    KABEL    XX.YY.144.254    XX.YY.144.254    Interface KABEL_DHCP Gateway   

Gateway adress i look up
Your IP Address is XX.YY.144.140.

Gateway under Services > Dynamic DNS:
KABEL    No-IP (free)    nickname.ddns.net   XX.YY.144.140    NO-IP name

We traced this to the default gateways switching option trying to find an IPv6 gateway where there are none configured (no IPv6 at all).

Still trying to figure out why the behaviour of the box is odd, but it seems that connectivity is disrupted quite frequently causing the box to reconfigure itself more than usual, that would also concede with reported GUI connection aborts.

What do you mean with "connectivity is being disrupted quite frequently"? Our Internet connection is really stable or what could cause the connectivity to be interrupted? As i mentioned, this problems appeared first after having upgraded to 17.1.7. For over half a year we did not suffer any disruptions or error messages with all other 17th versions...

Hi hirschferkel,

I'm sorry, I have confused you with another user who pointed me into the direction of this forum message via email and assumed it's you.

The user reported GUI connection aborts when browsing the GUI. This and other things are caused by the following setting:

System: Settings: General: [ x ] Allow default gateway switching

If you don't have multiple WAN connections you should switch it off. If you need failover for multiple WANs consider using this approach instead:

In the case of this message, it's a harmless message that shouldn't be printed in the first place. The code has been reworked now to clarify and improve messaging for the gateway switching feature, but we are also considering its removal in 18.1.

Wofür ist das deutsche Forum, wenn dann doch englisch geschrieben wird.
Habe ich das was falsch verstanden? Ist das nur für deutsche Staatsbürger (German) und nicht für uns Österr.... (AUSTRIA) ;-))

@roswitina: Ich hatte mich auch schon gefragt, aber nicht gleich aus dem Fenster stürzen deshalb :D
Ich denke das kommt eher daher, dass Franco über einen anderen Thread hier gelandet ist und da noch im Kopf falsch gepolt war.
