Title: Transparent Proxy?

I know a lot of progress has been made on getting the squid proxy added, was wondering if transparent proxy option will be included in the 15.7 release?

Hi shorty,

if it's not in there (Ad and Jos work on this exclusively--they'll answer soon), it'll most likely get shipped with a stable release based on the 15.7 series. We tagged the proxy as done for the initial release, making room for IDS integration which is still due.

Any help with getting the transparent proxy into the GUI is appreciated and will be merged. That's the best way to ensure the initial 15.7 will have it.

Thanks for the reply.  If I knew how I would.  But I'll be glad to test it when it's ready...

Most of the parts for the transparent proxy feature are already in place (hidden in the configuration system), but we still need to hook it in to the firewall (as clean as possible).

We will try to fix this for the 15.7 release.

Thanks for the update, I'm looking forward to what you have planned.  Keep up the good work!  (I especially like your partnership with HardenedBSD, think it will be a great combination).
