Hi,
I have made great experience using OpenDNS. This is in my experience a great solution for Phising and URL filtering. It is possible to define URL filtering profiles. (i.e parental filtering)
Advantages:
No CPU load on the appliance
URL It is very up to date.

@ Franco: we have done a "client" for the monowall

Jakob, sounds like an easy to implement solution? Is "client" like a soft word for "package"? :)

Web filter over DNS works fine for smaller applications, but looking at "secure" requirements it is probably not enough in the long run. It really depends on where you want to use it and why. Only managing expectations by saying this, though.

Looking for solution like pfsense but with stable web filtering with ssl  man in middle concept, or DNS based solution like nxfilter.

Category needed through blacklist.
