Title: PPTP Plugin
Post by: jstalnaker on February 28, 2017, 07:32:16 am
ok, I know it's bad, but need it for some compatibility issues I'm fighting till I get users moved to OpenVPN clients.
so have 17.1.2 installed, added PPTP plugin.
attempted to configure it, can only get it to run when I set server address as ip of lan interface.
added rules to wan interface to allow gre and pptp. (going to any also tried to PPTP)
added rule to pptp to allow it to talk to lan
when attempting to connect from pptp client, I get no connection, and no hits in the pptp log file

I have the same configuration as you, but I canĀ“t even make it work setting the IP address within the LAN interface.
Any news?

Hi there,

No judging on PPTP. We preserved it as an optional plugin for this reason. ;)

I guess you can't access PPTP from WAN due to a blocking rule. Did you look search the firewall logs under Firewall: Log Files: Normal View?

Cheers,

Any results to this?

I have under WAN:

IPv4 TCP * * * 1723 (PPTP) *
IPv4 GRE * * * *                  *

Under PPTP:

IPv4* * * * * *

Are these the correct settings?
