Hi all,
I'm new to OPNsense, only just downloaded today!
basically, I have it installed on a physical server but I can't seem to access the WebGUI. I type 192.168.1.1 into my browser and it just says "This site cannot be reached"
I have tried with different browsers and still the same issue. I can ping the server and the server can ping my PC, if I do a tracert to google it shows that it is going through 192.168.1.1 then to my router and out
Any ideas?
Thanks

What is the subnet and netmask for your PC and OPNsense?
Have you updated OPNsense from its console?

I think you may be looking at not having "LAN" correctly connected. If you use e.g. a laptop, the port will give you a 192.168.1.0/24 address, likely 192.168.1.100. If not, there is no use trying to reach 192.168.1.1.
Try all ports, see where it matches. :)

@bartjsmit
I will get that information when I'm next home
@franco
When my PC is connected it gets a 192.168.1.101 IP address. Before the firewall was put between it my PC had an IP of 192.168.0.10.. so I'm guessing it is correctly connected?
Thanks

That doesn't sound wrong. Can you ping 192.168.1.1?
Try these two addresses:
https://192.168.1.1/
http://192.168.1.1/

Franco,
Yes I tried using both of those address' already, I can also ping 192.168.1.1 without a problem

Which browser do you use? Try a recent Firefox/Chrome to double-check.

Just tried Firefox, same error message as Chrome and Internet Explorer

I've managed to get it working, had to set static IPs etc to get it to connect, seems odd though

Ok, glad to hear. :)
Cheers,
