I'm having some trouble installing opnsense 17.1b in an uefi environment, the installation goes just fine, but after reboot there isn't any boot option to boot from the internal hdd i just installed opnsense. Any ideas?
PD: pfSense 2.4 does the exact same thing.
PD2: with csm on and installing on mbr everything works fine.
Hardware:
CPU: i3 4170
Mother: Asrock h87m
HDD: 750gb sata2 2.5'

Hi Camilo,
I found this in the bug tracker:
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=185623
"After install, but before reboot, run: gpart set -a active ada0"
Can you try this? If this works it's possible we can add it to the installer. :D
Cheers,
Franco

Hi! For some reason i didn't receive an email with the reply notification, tomorrow i will do a fresh install and try this. I will edit with more info when i try :D

I dug a little further into "active": from the gpart man page it says that "active" is not for GPT installations, so it will likely not matter here.

when u install fresh, ensure that in bios the sata port is set to ahci [atleast it worked foe me]
perform the installation in eufi mode. post instalaltion, reboot and change bios boot to legacy bios as oppose to eufi
and select your hdd for boot disk. viola.
