i recently switched from another distribution to OPNsense...and i very much like it,but i also installed a package and on the web interface in System>Packages it`s visible thats installed..hooorray i made it...but the package requires some conf files editing...so where is or where did the pkg installed it or where is the place where they reside or install.runing version OPNsense 16.7.11_1-amd64.

Hi there,

We make a distinction between "packages" and "plugins".

"Packages" are plain FreeBSD packages without a GUI (e.g. bind). You can install/configure them from the command line:

https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/porters-handbook/rc-scripts.html

"Plugins" have automatic setups (e.g. os-vmware) and/or GUI pages (e.g. os-tinc).

To help you more we need to know which package/plugin you installed. :)

Cheers,
Franco
