Title: [SOLVED] Bug in DynDNS settings with NameCheap
Post by: Stuggi on October 22, 2016, 12:44:49 am
When trying to configure a DynDNS client for Namecheap the config page won't accept an empty username even though the help hints at NameCheap not requiring a username. Functioning workaround is to just write something random as the username, for me a single a worked just fine.

Also, this was in firmware 16.7

Hi Stuggi,

Thanks, I fixed this, although it's not a problem of the explicit page:

https://github.com/opnsense/core/commit/5d23841

It could take a while until this is moved to 16.7.x because it impacts all pages, so we need to take extra care.

Cheers,
Franco
