Title: (solved) TOTP doesn't work
Post by: philro on August 02, 2016, 01:31:47 pm
Hello,

i've installed a fresh 16.7 box and configured openVPN with OTP. I've done exactly what is discribed in this HowTo:
https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/two_factor.html

I could create users an generate a TOTP token. Also i'm able to register the token in the Google Authenticator. But i can't login with the token generated by the Google Authenticator. I'm not able to login in the VPN and also the Test in den Webinterface (System -> Access -> Tester) doesn't work. I only get the Message

The fellowind input errors were detected:
 - Authentication failed.

I can't find any message in the logs. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Phil

Hi Phil,

Could it be this?

"add the created token/key before your regular password"

Cheers,
Franco

We will tweak the docs a little as it has been known to happen. No worries. :)
