Title: OPNsense hardware - access bios
Post by: bobzbobz on January 30, 2015, 11:57:52 am
Hello

I am not sure if this is the right forum regarding OPNsense hardware, but I will try anyway.

We have 2x Sense Quad Core Gen2: http://goo.gl/bOZtmC
Both seem to have defective pfsense so we would like to reinstall pfsense v. 2.2.

How do we access BIOS/bootmenu through serial connection?

I have created a bootable USB with pfsense 2.2 with Win32DiskImager, but when I plug it into the OPNsense box and connect though serial it just starts up with the already installed pfsense.

Regards,
Soren

The Gen2's have remote management with AMT.
You can use that to reinstall the device or select boot from usb. The documentation is provided with the device.
