Title: [SOLVED] No Update Repository
Post by: phoenix on July 04, 2016, 05:44:22 pm
I guess there will be an update repository during the RC cycle? I run OPNsense in a VM, will the vmware tools be released during the RC cycle or when it goes GA?

Installed the RC1 without problems and imported the previous config backup successfully, good job with the work on this release. :)

Previously installed plugins are not in the config, which means they have to be reinstalled.

They should, however, be available for installation. The repository is there and will be updated for RC2 etc. until we hit 16.7 (then it becomes the release repository automatically and 16.7.x continues).

Hi Franco

I seem to be having a problem when I try to install the vmware tools and a normal check for updates (I've tried several different mirrors with the same result:

Code: [Select]
Updating OPNsense repository catalogue...
pkg-static: http://pkg.opnsense.org/FreeBSD:10:amd64/16.7/libressl/meta.txz: Not Found
repository OPNsense has no meta file, using default settings
pkg-static: http://pkg.opnsense.org/FreeBSD:10:amd64/16.7/libressl/packagesite.txz: Not Found
Unable to update repository OPNsense
Restarting webConfigurator...done

Hi Bill,

Ah, yes, switch to OpenSSL.

RC does not offer builds for LibreSSL yet. Trying to minimise the work there, it'll be back with 16.7 release, if not earlier.

Cheers,
Franco

Sure thing, Bill. This RC is complicated business. And I'm just the intern. *hides*
