Title: Installing problem with supermicro
Post by: afall on January 25, 2023, 01:21:38 am
I just got myself a super micro SYS-5019D-4C-FN8TP. I installed opnsense 22.7 and it went fine. Until the interface assignment. It didn't detect any interfaces. Was wondering if anyone ran into this same issues.

Nice kit. According to SuperMicro product page, they are Intel interfaces. They are :
Code: [Select]
Network Controllers
    Dual 10G SFP+ via SoC
    Quad 1GbE with Intel I350-AM4
    Dual 10GBase-T with Intel X557
1 GB ones are standard stuff, famous "should work". Check BIOS settings and dmesg.

Thanks for pointing me in the BIOS. I didn't see any setting in there to disable the ethernet ports. But i did do a reset of the bios and now everything seem to work.
