Title: [SOLVED] Opnsense 16.1.15-i386 Bogon
Post by: roro on May 26, 2016, 01:16:00 pm
Hi,
I have Block bogon networks enabled on my 10.x.x.x network.
After upgrade to 16.1.15-i386 this network will be handled as a BOGON network and then will be blocked.

Any clues?
Greetz
Roro.

Yes, this was changed. The upstream bogons file also has private networks embedded which get downloaded, so the previous behaviour was surprising after the bogon auto-update kicked in. We've fixed that loophole.

It seems that the code does strip this on update. This is terrible. I'll investigate...

So I don't know why we would bend the terminology of "bogons" to this, but ok... I'm going to revert the code and add comments in the appropriate places.

You can fix this locally by running this command on the box:

# /usr/local/etc/rc.update_bogons now

Cheers,
