Hi,

sorry - sometimes issues are handmade... There was another OPNsense already using the same IP...

It might be an idea create error messages if duplicate IPs are found ;-)

But the password works on the console? Or was this a config import of some sort?

Hm, not sure how to detect that reliably, but the login screen could use a hostname hint. It's completely ambiguous, you're right.
