Post by: Catalin on September 08, 2022, 01:09:27 pm
HI.

Opnsense installed from official image - 22.7. Setup, config, startup - no problems, no errors.

first thing update after config wizard, reboot then getting long time startup and errors:

Couple of things;

1. I would find it odd that going from 22.7 to 22.7.4 would introduce this issue unless there were kernel changes that I'm unaware of. I looked through the patch notes and didn't see anything suggesting it, but I could have missed it.

2.  It's possible it's just a coincidence and the source of the issue is something else.

Either way; What kind of hard drive do you have? What mode is your drive set to in the Bios? AHCI, ATA, RAID?

I would start by ruling out hardware issues, is it possible to run some kind of hardware diagnostics on this machine?
