hi,
Translation template was already updated, but each translated file still seems to base on old template.
And I guess that translation server displays translation keywords from existing translated file's keywords.
Because that server shows me only old sentences, not new sentences added by the new template.
Therefore, I want to confirm who should merge the language file, the individual language's translators or OPNsense developers?

Hi Chie,
As soon as we start regenerating the translation files from the new template, we'll lose progress, so we eventually have to "freeze" the translations in place for e.g. 16.1 where we do not want to push new updates to the languages anymore.
With the new opnsense-lang package that actually became easily possible so that we're now able to freeze opnsense-lang to version 16.1.14 (next week) and afterwards regenerate all translations and merge them with the new strings from the development version.
The last step is updating these updated translation files to the Pootle server. In order to not lose any progress during this process, it can only be done from the dev side in order to ensure that all languages are updated at the same time.
I will take care of it next week.
Cheers,
Franco

I will wait for new language file to become available until next week.

Dear Chie,
The merge is complete and the translation server files have been updated. Languages moved back about 16% due to message changes and additions.
Sorry for the delay.
Cheers,
Franco

Dear Chie,
I saw that you already finished your translation for Japanese in 16.7.
That's very good work. Thank you!
