Title: Need help regarding renaming the path usr/local/opnsense

Hello All,

I am new to the forum as well as development of the opnsense. I have few questions on changing the path from  usr/local/opnsense to usr/local/firewall. I am following the instruction mentioned https://github.com/opnsense/tools and able to build make DVD for installation.

Post that in order to make usr/local/firewall I followed https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=22872.0. Though the post is old I wanted to give it a try but could not build.

Can Anyone please help me out in make the change the path or build this version in which I can replace opnsense with firewall.

Hi Ryan,

In theory it's possible to rename all paths, but that would include modifying file content as well as moving all the files (in core and plugins).

So you can do it, but it will be hard to ever again update from upstream changes.
