Title: Is there a change log for the module updates?
Post by: simervillefarm on March 27, 2015, 01:13:01 pm
I would like to know what changes/fixes are being implemented in the updates I am applying.  I am sure it is somewhere, I just can't seem to find it.

Just for the record I looked in the announcement section and it does provide some information on point release updates but what I am more looking for is more information on what what changed in the submodules.  As an example the anouncement section just mentioned "dhcp: improve compatibility with IPv6 deployments", what are these improvement(s)?

isc-dhcp42-server
4.2.7
4.2.8
isc-dhcp42-relay
4.2.7
4.2.8
isc-dhcp42-client
4.2.7
4.2.8

For isc-dhcp, please see the official changelogs, we can't provide all change longs with our own announcements so that's why the version numbers for third party tools are mentioned:

https://kb.isc.org/article/AA-01243/82/DHCP-4.2.8b1-Release-Notes.html

For other changes we do have our repositories. Again, here the best approach is to look at issues and commits, because providing all info in one text document would bring up an overwhelming amount of information for the average reader.

The DHCPv6 compatiblity improvements revolve around this particular issue:

Or maybe you have missed the actual announcement:

We do not have the means to display change logs for new versions in the GUI yet, maybe this is what you are looking for?

Cheers,
