The only way I can see fixing this problem is by resetting to default on opnsense  I was curious if there a different way of fixing this type of problems

So what precisely are you trying to achieve? E.g. entirely disabling physical interfaces is possible. So what is it you want to get rid of, so one can tell you how?

Which ones precisely? There are certain kernel tunables that can do just that but I need the device names of these interfaces to help you ...

LOL, looks like this is a “feature” of the latest update. I have these too, and they weren’t there before 21.7.4

You could get rid of the igb0 if desired but I suspect that your PPPoE session is running on that.
Correct? Then, sorry. All the other interfaces are not physical ones but software defined ones and they cannot be disabled by a simple bootloader tunable.

But then: You don't use IPsec? OK. That's precisely why "enc0" is shown unassigned. You don't have two firewalls in a HA configuration? That's why "pfsync0" is shown as unassigned. What is your problem that needs to be solved?

I think it is essentially a GUI display issue. These weren’t shown previously, and IMO clutter the overview list
