Title: [SOLVED] DHCP Server Static Reservations?
Post by: TheLatestWire on March 21, 2016, 02:51:34 am
Hello,

Is it possible to setup DHCP reservations with the DHCP server in OPNsense?  I can't seem to find an area where I can do it in the web GUI.

I'm transitioning from m0n0wall's DHCP service, which has a number of reservations, to OPNsense. I was hoping to setup the reservations before I  move to OPNsense's DHCP service.

Thanks.

I'm still using OPNsense version 16.1.5 and I know there's been quite of bit of coding work done reference the DHCP webgui pages so I'm not sure what actually been changed. Try navigating to Services --> DHCP --> Server in the webgui. On that page you should be able to set dynamic and static DHCP leases.

Thanks, I think I found it.  Is it referred to as "DHCP Static Mappings for this interface"?  I guess the fact that the word "reservation" wasn't used through me.

Yes that is the section for setting static IP addresses. Or up above on the same page you should be able to set the dynamic IP lease range for IP addresses that are obviously not  static.
