Post by: pirin on June 05, 2021, 04:23:24 pm
I had opnsense installed and running for couple of months. Yesterday I decided to reboot the Opnsense from the GUI Menu. It did not come back up. I am not complete nube, but after readung forums and googeling i could not fix it. Please, help.I am using External USB SSD Drive. The boot stops at:
da0: quirks=0x2<No_6_BYTE> as seen on the screenshot.

I have booted from USB Flash of Opnsense and run fsck -f -y several times on the efi and root partitions with no difference.
This was working before and GPT checks OK.

Are you sure it's not booting? There is no error which sort of indicates VGA output just stops and the system continues to run?

Cheers,

Yes. It does not boot. I do not get IP addresses on the WAN and LAN port and cannot ssh/ping/browse to the FW.
Where in the boot process it brakes? It looks to me that it does not load kernel or kernel modules, but do not know how to verify. Any idea how to debug/check what the problem is? Attached is the partition table.
