Title: Total traffic stats on a per month basis
Post by: pricklydevil on February 17, 2016, 11:02:40 pm
Hey all,

Again I've used the search as well as the wiki but can't find the answer :(

Is there anyway to easily see how much traffic I've pushed and pulled over say a 30 day period? pfInfo is in there, so I've done some quick calculations on that but wondering if there is a way to do this automatically? Something that maybe can be added as an extra page with the ability to reset each month.

I can't remember (old age!) but I think it's definitely something that was there when the RRD graphs were still around but since the revamp it's kinda gone AWOL. I was going to raise a feature request on GitHub but thought it would be better here first.

Cheers

I agree. It would be nice to have a cleaner view of the data. The default time span to view data is lacking but so is the clarity of data. I would love to have the standard day, week, month, year views as well as better table data, maybe something like VNSTAT for the table data.

We've just updated the roadmap and there's an item for 16.7 called "Add traffic analysis and netflow export" which will hopefully include what you are asking for here. We can't share details yet, but you can rest assured that the new solution will be up to the usual OPNsense standards and will be available for review/improvements a bit before 16.7 "hits the shelves". :)
