Title: 21.1.3 - broken widget links?
Post by: GreenMatter on March 12, 2021, 06:34:09 pm

After updating to latest - 21.1.3 ALL widget titles and related links are broken, i.e. widgets names look as following:
Quote
system_information_title
services_status_title
cpu_usage_title

Is it a known bug?

Known issue (plenty of posts in the forum). To fix:
Code: [Select]
opnsense-patch 45199e3

We will issue a hotfix on Monday. It's purely cosmetic, but better to avoid a flood of reports (that we appreciate nonetheless). :)

Cheers,
Franco

Sounds good. I saw the suggestion of a hotfix on Twitter.

I suspect repeat posting on issues might be reduced if the forum were somewhat more functional, particularly regarding search.

Has any thought been given to moving the forum to a more modern platform, like that used for LXD/LXC (https://discuss.linuxcontainers.org/), or Pi-hole (https://discourse.pi-hole.net/), or even pfSense (https://forum.netgate.com/)?

Thanks guys.
I remember there was similar story with one of previous updates...

Some form of forum change is probably due, but we are not sure how that would look. Probably best to defer this to 2022 since 2021 has quite some work items due to my switching jobs and certain areas of technical debt (like the firmware update rework).

Cheers,

Certainly, if I had to choose between having dev work occur on OPNsense itself and work occur on transitioning the forum, I know what I would choose!  8)

But I have found the forum to be very good for shared knowledge and troubleshooting, so anything eventually to enhance that would be good.
