Title: Postfix Log broken
Post by: lfirewall1243 on January 31, 2021, 11:09:51 am
Hi,

I upgraded some opnsense systems to 21.1 now. Everything went fine - thanks for that amazing work!

But after the upgrade my Postfix Log seems broken.
I can restart the service or send mails to Postfix but the log stays empty.

Does anyone has the same problem ?

Thanks:)

Hi, I am having the same issue.

Disabling circular logging fixed it as a workaround.

Try disabling circular log
Where?
In Postfix settings?

System --> Settings --> Logging.
Thanks!

Working now

But does it have some disadvantages when I disable circular logs ?

I had the same issue, and "solved" id by disabling circular logs. Issue is that logs will be expanding indefinitely this way.
Is there a way to fix logging while having circular logs enabled?

Why? You can set the days how long to keep logs.
Currently there's no solution and since next OPNsense will have ciruclar disabled by default in fresh installations I dont want to put much effort in it.

I am sorry, I did not see that. It works perfectly as is. Thanks!
