"3) Reset the root password" should reset root password / authentication backend if needed.

In /conf/config.xml add "<priv>page-all</priv>" to opnsense -> system -> user (with name root) if you don't have privileges for your root user.

My SSH don't work anymore root account don't work even by rollback the authentication ... :'(... and the GUI too, can't access it...
I will try console to night....

In case i can't login, i guess i can reset the password during the boot process?

EDIT : i guess s i can do this (i hope in console) ? : https://kifarunix.com/how-to-reset-or-recover-root-password-on-opnsense/

I got a Deciso Appliance with console access

And.... shame on my i don't have configure the backup yet... -_-'... because it's a new appliance...

The tutorial is correct, but the script location moved from /usr/local/etc/rc.initial.password to /usr/local/opnsense/scripts/shell/password.php

The installer also has a password recovery reset option.

I manage to get the console acces by desactivated the password in the console ahah.

I have to add your line here? In the root section?

Maybe i can just remove the groupe i want to remove ahah?
And after reboot or i can reload it without reboot the Deciso appliance?
