Title: [Help needed] OPNsense stops responding
Post by: shade73 on December 12, 2019, 01:00:21 pm
I have a CARP setup with 2 OPNsense firewalls, and every 1-3 days the master firewall stops responding, no GUI, no PING and the backup becomes master.

Only the CLI on the console is responding, and with that I can reboot the main firewall, and then it works again for 1-3 days before it dies again.

There is no crash reports in the GUI, both firewalls are running 19.7.3 Business Edition.

I have updated to 19.7.9 and unfortunately that did not solve the problem  :-\

Still a problem, firewall dies every other day. Everything seems to die, not even SSH to the firewall works.

This time there was an error on the console (see attached) it was filled with the message arprequest: cannot find matching address.

I need input to where to look for clues.

I'm having the same problem... except console stops responding most of the time too. Are you guys using a bridge in your config as well?

Wondering if this will help:

Interesting fix. Bridge question is valid... hands up please.

Cheers,

We does not have a bridge interface..

But are still hit hard by the error, firewalls dies everyday if not rebooted.
