Title: some pages not loading
Post by: AgentN on December 07, 2019, 11:04:54 pm
I am very new to firewalls and am hoping someone can help me fix my problem.
I am using OPNsense 19.7-amd64, with unbound dns. I am having an issue where some websites won't load but others will. When I do an nslookup on them they all return the correct name and IP, Even sites that won't load. on the machine I used to test it I ensured DoH was turned off, and there were no dns overrides, or custom settings (and flushed dns, and did a netsock reset). I have tried changing MTU and turning off MTU override off with no luck. I have Lan and Wan MTU set to 1500 without it working (also tried other settings as well)  I think the issue is related to IPv6 but I can't seem to track down what isn't working with the requests. I used wireshark and compared web traffic between a working and non working request and didn't notice any differences.
hardware:
Opnsense is connected to a router that is using ipv6

Any feedback is appreciated,

Switch off IPv6 on your client and see if that makes any difference. If it does, check if you get AAAA DNS responses and you are able to traceroute to the server(s) in question.

You must Restart the Web Proxy Service and try again.  This is the Solution that I must apply When the problema ocurr.  I dont know why happening that yet.
