Title: vmware Install Issues?

Hello everyone
so i downloaded OPNsense-15.7.11-OpenSSL-cdrom-amd64.iso.bz2 (212.5 MB) from sourceforge
i tried installing on vmware 9 but got the error as shown in attachments
can anyone please tell me what the issue is?

Just a friendly request, don't upload 14+ Mega Pixel photo's ;-)
Downsize them to 1024x768-ish ones.

What specs did you give the VM?

VMware 9 is just the client type version iirc?

1gb ram,2 nics,40 gig HD

Been years since I worked with the client version, but doesn't mean it doesn't work.

Specs wise you're fine. Depending on what you're going to do with it, the 40GB might be too much.
As a simple home firewall/router without proxy and IDS 10GB already is more then enough.

I can't see why it's going bad. Probably Franco can help you more here.

This is the log that has no errors, was there an error before the log was viewed?

Does the Image Checksum match? Does bumping the VM memory to 2 GB help?

Today is a holiday, will verify checksum tomorrow
But i cant see how increasing the memory will help  :-\

So far we've identified low RAM to be the source of virtually every installer issue in VMs. :)
