Title: Smart status now yellow "unknown"
Post by: Taomyn on July 17, 2019, 03:52:43 pm
Since the upgrade from 19.1 to 19.7 the Smart status widget on my lobby dashboard just shows yellow "unknown".

Going to the service shows everything is well - logs show no error, the SSD passes the short test, the info all shows fine.

Any ideas how to kick the widget into shape? I've tried a reboot and logged off/on

I am experiencing the same problem with the SMART status in the dashboard.  It's stuck in a yellow/unknown status.

Same here

A few PC Engine APU2C2 with mSATA identified as ada0 still shows Yellow/Unknown under status after upgrading from 19.1.10 to 19.7.2

This used to work fine before upgrading to 19.7.x series.

I have exactly the same issue as the rest here: PC-Engines APU2, SATA SSD, showed the SMART status on the dashboard, as green OK or something similar.

Since 19.7, it stays at yellow unknown.
Actually, I am not even sure, the green OK status before can be trusted, as I can imagine it is as similarly misleading, as the gateway Status was on the dashboard: in a not-so-easy-to-spot menu it was set by default as "dont monitor gateway" and the dashboard happily showed green OK status, even if in fact gateway monitoring was plain disabled. Can that be the SMART status is such a red herring, it shows something misleading when in fact the SMART monitoring is simply broken in the background, and does not check anything at all?
Sorry to be such a PITA, its not negative criticism, I am just good at pointing out not-so-easy-to-discover broken things, where others dont find them.

Seeing the same problem after applying the upgrade today, but it appears so far that it is the only thing that does not work correctly.

Actually, I'm not sure if the green OK status before I can be trusted, because I can imagine that it is a similar misunderstanding, just like the door status is on the dashboard: in a menu that is not so easy to set point.

By default is "Do not check gateways" and the dashboard shows the green status happily, even though in reality the gateway checking has been disabled. That is the state of SMART.แทงบอลสูงต่ำราคาดีที่สุด (https://cmsexpo.net/การแทงบอลสูงต่ำ/)

Is it a red herring? It shows that there are some things that are misleading when in reality the SMART inspection is broken in the background and doesn't check anything at all?

Sorry for being like PITA. It's not a negative criticism. I just point out things that aren't broken that aren't easy to find and that others don't find them.แทงบอลสูงต่ำดีมั้ย (https://cmsexpo.net/การแทงบอลสูงต่ำ/)
