Title: [Solved}remove some files after update
Post by: qinohe on May 02, 2019, 02:57:56 pm
Hi there,

Have upgraded my box just now and everything seems to work as expected, thanks for that  ;D
Now I saw some files that could be removed, just to be on the safe side, I can safely remove:

/usr/local/etc/ssl/cert.pem  suricate/classification.config and suricata/suricata.yaml

Thanks

Hi mark,

The FreeBSD package manager prints them per default, but misleads you in a way, because it "deinstalls" the package showing the message but installs it again as part of the update. You shouldn't trust the specific messages in the progress window too much. ;)

Cheers,
Franco

Hi franco,

Thank you very much, I did almost remove right after the upgrade, instead I asked, I'm happy I did...
From now on I will disregard most messages I see there, thanks again  8)
