Title: Trying to complete a bootstrap install on Google Compute and stuck in console
Post by: ipa_net_engineer on April 14, 2019, 08:22:27 pm
Trying to complete a bootstrap install with Free BSD 11.2 UFS on Google Compute and I seem to be stuck on the console - i've tried this with 19.1 and now tried with 18.7 and keep getting stuck in the same spot. If I reboot the VM at this point, it hangs on boot and never comes back.

I'm really close as I can get to the OPNSense login screen but trigger a security issue with HTTPS redirection and can't login.

After I select interfaces, it gets to this point and then hangs and the console is unresponsive...any success stories on GCE out there? Open to trying any version or method as long as I can deploy on the F1-micro VM type .

Code: [Select]
>>> Invoking start script 'beep'
Root file system: /dev/gpt/rootfs

Not sure why it hangs this late -- basically everything is working but it looks like the console attached to the VM locks up?
