Title: Monit default mail format cannot be changed
Post by: bobbythomas on April 12, 2019, 11:41:41 pm
Hi,

I was trying to edit the default mail-format on the monitrc file but it seems like it reverts to the default after re-initializing. Is there anyway to edit and keep the mail-format?

Thank you,
Bobby Thomas

Yes, you can do that via GUI.
see https://wiki.opnsense.org/manual/monit.html#alert-settings (https://wiki.opnsense.org/manual/monit.html#alert-settings)

Hi Faunsen,

I already tried that and it works from GUI as well as from CLI, but it will only append the Monit status details to the default mail format, for example, at end we cannot modify the email closings, regardless of what we mention under mail format the email closing will always have "your faithful employee, monit" at the end. I would like to change this. Any idea how we can modify that?

Thanks and regards,
Bobby Thomas

Did you set the message body within the mail-format?

No, I haven't inserted the message body under the alert settings, but I doubt if it would affect the mail format. I will give it a try.

Thank you,
