Here is how I figure my install.

Take my new device https://www.thomas-krenn.com/en/products/application/opnsense-firewalls/les-compact-4l.html
set it up in room 1 with a monitor, keyboard/mouse and a boot USB stick containing Opnsense, boot in VGA (as I downloaded) install Opnsense, after that shut down and take my device/Opnsense router to room 2, hook up WAN on LAN1 and the remaining 2-4 LAN port to my computers.

Start up my device/Opnsense router, and go to 192.168.1.1 from a computer on the LAN and configure it.

Is this right, and can I just unplug my device after install, i guess there is no "shut down" option...or?

If all versions are the same then mine has a shutdown in the GUI, see the attached screen shots. It is always better to shutdown than unplug to allow the file system to dismount properly.

There is also a shutdown option from the console. See attachments.

WAN and LAN interfaces must be defined during setup. If they are connected before install it's easier...

Don't unplug. May result in file system problems.

You boot from your CD/USB-stick and enter the installer as user "installer"

after installation the device will reboot. After reboot enter via serial console and assign WAN and LAN etc to the interfaces (auto mode recommended, if you don't know which interface is which).

After plug in your computer to LAN and access the GUI at 192.168.1.1

Login as root/opnsense and start configuring.... :-)

Thanks, but will I go to the GUI when I install VGA, hooked up to a monitor? If so, I would of course have the option to shut down properly, but i presumed that GUI only was avalable through web interface, 192.168.1.1

Will I get the option to assign WAN an LAN port during VGA install, I'm thinking WAN on the first lanport, maybe thats default

If you hook up to VGA you will see all of the same options you would on console. So you still would install, reboot to the installed drive and set interfaces unless you are running from USB in which case you reboot, enter as root and setup the interfaces right there.

Thanks, my plan is to make em0 (first ethernetport) to WAN, and the rest to LAN, is that default?

As mentioned in my first post, I plan to set the box up in room 1, HDMI to HDMI port in box, keyboard/mouse in USB port, boot USB stick in box to boot and install from....when setup is finish, I need to shut it down and move it to room 2 where my ISP fiberbox is located, can I properly shut it down at the end of the setup process, or do I need to hook up a computer to one of the LAN ports to go to 192.168.1.1 and do it from there?
