Hi All, this is a new one for me.
I upgraded from 18.7 -->19.1. OPNSense is running on a Micro Appliance With 4x Intel Gigabit Ports, Intel Atom E3845, AES-NI, 4GB RAM, 32GB mSATA. Display/keyboard/mouse through a raritan kvm device.
After update the monitor display freezes during booting (Pls see attachment). I was guessing a kernel panic of some sort..... But
However, to my shock :) .... The boot completes successfully (even though the display freezes) in the background, the interfaces come up, and the Webpage is accessible.
I rebooted a number of times, the display freeze is consistent.
Nothing of note could be found in the logs.....
I would love any ideas? .......... Because I'm out of them :)
Regards,
Mat

Likely the same issue described here:

Yes it does look like that post. Apologies, I did go though the posts first before posting... though I clearly missed that one :)
It's a production server, so I can't reboot till the weekend, but I'll update on the success/failure when I do.
Thanks newsense for the reply,
Mat

19.1.2 might be up this week so make sure to read the release notes, that change might not be needed after all.

No plans for 19.1.2 in this regard.

Thanks for clarifying that franco.
Going forward what would be the best way to document that behavior for niche hardware ? Would that thread be appropriate to be moved in the Tutorials section or just have a sticky in the Prod Series subforum with quirks and workarounds where such issues could be documented ?
