WAF will be released soon ;)
It was a bit too late for 18.7 but in the next release it will very likely be.

Excellent news.

What about Sensei? when will this be part of opnsense?   https://www.sunnyvalley.io/sensei

What about bro IDS? it could be a good addition    https://www.bro.org/

And I guess Wireguard will be soon part of opnsense as well :)

I guess Sensei will be a commercial Plugin in near future. Wireguard, Ntopng, Icinga, stunnel will also come before 19.1

but will be ntopng fully integrated inside opnsense?

Where do you get this info? are you a developer?

Fully integrated doesn't make sense since it has it's own UI.
Only configuration options for startup and enabling/disabling.

@michael: I am not sure if stunnel makes sense - this should be possible with nginx / HAProxy.

If you want to look at it, here is the documentation: https://nginx.org/en/docs/stream/ngx_stream_core_module.html

Am I correct in assuming the dev version mirrors the master branch on github?

Yes, all non RCs are master

With the recent question of how accurate the roadmap is we'll refrain from publishing a new one at this point to discuss a bit more internally how to avoid misunderstandings and level expectations.

Cheers,

Hey you guys do whatever! I was pretty surprised how much the pfsense team went after that. They really have no room to talk, every time I think about installing pfsense on a device I just remember the childish behavior of the devs and move right along.
