Hi,
I was using a lot of limiters in Pfsense. It seems limiters are now called pipes in the traffic shaper interface of OPNSense
However there's no IN/OUT fields anymore in rules advanced tab...
How am i suppose to get them working ? Is it still a WIP ?
The Traffic shaper is fully working with limiters (pipes), in/out is an advanced option just toggle advanced and you will see :-)
Strangely I have no toggle button...
I tried with firefox chrome and IE (yes) but no difference.
I see what kind of toggle button you are refering to, cause I see them on other tabs. But they are not appearing in any of my rules tabs.
Are you looking at the rules?
It is in the top left corner of the dialog (advanced mode) on the right side there is something similair for the help (full help).
The in/out is called direction and is set to both by default.
You can also specify a second interface to further influence the shaping of traffic.

Nope nothing...
Ah... sorry I understand the issue... we have a new rules tab at the traffic shaper screen :-)
You are probaly looking for in/out in the firewall rules... we have a shaper on top of the firewall... easier to manage only shaping & prioritizing traffic.
in short -> See Traffic Shaper for rules tab :)
Oh OK ;D Sorry, didn't know that... :P Thanks !
No problem.. you noticed we do not just have a fancy GUI ;)
And yes, shaper comes first and then the normal pf rules.. so you can make endless combinations.
It is really very powerfull.
Yes indeed :)
I kinda like what you've done so far. Good project ;)
Thank you, spread the word ;)

I'm happy to say that I just got rid off my crappy and expensive Cisco ASA Firewall ;D
Woah, big step. Very cool! :)
