Hello,
i am using an nano x64 ( 17-7-p2 ) image on usb storeage with an usb lan adaptor.
if the system boots, after start_init: tyring /sbin/init
usbd_set_config_index: power exeecded 510 > 500
usbd_set_config_index: power exeecded 510 > 500
usb_alloc_device: Failure selecting configuration index 0:USB_ERR_NO_POWER, port1, addr 2 (ignored)
ugen4.2: <vendor 0xffff> at usbus4
i am lost at this stage other system goes into powersave mode on that stage.
thanks
I reckon you'll want to try that with a different USB storage device. The one you are using is drawing too much power from the port.
Bart...
Everything worked on the 17.7.p1, version, all i did was an upgrade to 17.7.-p2 and into the webinterface i set the USB LAN Adaptor to 10Mbit (ten), after reboot, the messages written above appears now ...
thanks
ok , i connected the usb lan adaptor to another linux system and dmesg was telling me "rejected 1 configuration due to insufficient available bus power" and lsusb gave me "max power 510" .... O.o ... so i trowed the usb lan adaptor into the trash. Need to buy a new one now xd :-)
Yikes, sounded like something else changed, but broken USB devices is certainly scary coupled with the power drain, which could end up damaging your other hardware.
Cheers,
