Hey Guys,
having a problem with opnsense, Im running 17.1.8 on an Intel NUC, my WAN connection is a USB to Ethernet dongle and after configuring the interface everything works fine.
BUT, once i reboot the PC the WAN interface just disappears, I have to manually add it again in the interfaces menu.
Weird huh? anyone else come across this issue?
I'm running 17.7 and I'm getting the same problem.
I configure the interfaces, with the WAN being a USB modem, and when I reboot the configs are lost. Perhaps the startup script is trying to autodetect and not getting it correct. Is there a way to hard code the interface settings?
Or something...
HELP!
Thanks :)

Have you actually installed this to a HD or are you running in LiveCD mode as per this thread: https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=5367.msg21828
Have you tried the os-boot-delay plugin? It may take the USB interface a bit of time to register.
