Title: Safe triangles in UI
Post by: schasj on November 06, 2026, 10:22:03 PM
Hi folks. One of the things that bothers me about the web UI is that moving the cursor outside a menu causes it to disappear and I have to go back to the top and start over. I haven't posted before because I had no idea what to call the feature I want. That changed today when I saw https://discourse.nodered.org/t/ux-safe-triangles-for-menus-interactions/102058 and learned that that it's called Safe Triangles. Please implement soon.

Can you post a screen shot of what exactly you mean? For me submenus only open at a click, not at a hover, and they stay open no matter where you move the cursor.

If the menu isn't expanded then yes it disappears. Ckick the arrow next to the OPNsense logo at the top left to expand it. Is this what you mean?

OK, I get it. I never used the collapsed (not expanded) menu.
