Title: Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class "OPNsense\Core\Backend" not found
Post by: dstr on August 25, 2026, 12:16:39 PM
Update from 26.1.11_10 to 26.7.1_1 fails with error:

Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class "OPNsense\Core\Backend" not found in /usr/local/etc/inc/leg....

after reboot cmd, it is booting into 26.7.1_1.
You need to have a console, otherwise is hangs there forever.

Aborts at 109/303 then fails with a missing file that should be installed via core package?

Looks pretty strange, but we can possibly safeguard this a little, but not much.  The disk state may still be inconsistent (now or in the next update).

Yeah no I tried to safeguard this but then the next function complains about it missing if it really is missing.

I don't see how we can make this safer.  If the essential file is not readable it's game over, but that goes for most files from core.
