The new services widget in 26.7.2 looks great. Thank you OPNsense team for iterating the design.
It looks soooo much better.... but there is one issue - long items, like gateways and VPNs, run into the next column...
I wonder if they could be just excluded, since they're not really "services", and there are specific dashboard widgets for them too...
Yea I see the same, the new widget looks great to the overall theme, but it was problem with longer names.
I would however not remove them from the service widget. As you can easily restart those using the service widget itself.
Its very handy.

Alas, I am in a still smaller minority. Visually it is good except that it is back to a single column rather than the compact two-column display. Options?
Having to scroll an important status display is an anathema to me. Back to trying to rearrange the dashboard so the entire column is visible while other components are in their place.

No real option here as it was one of the community wish items. My use for the widget is also limited now due to this, but it is what it is.

@franco is there a way to revert to the old services widget?, i'd rather have a vertical scroll button, where there is no long text run over....as below from my production OPNsense 26.1.11_10-amd64
It's just a single file, take whichever version you want, or create your own:

That would then break audit health checks, yeah ?
You can also create a copy if you break out the metadata from core.xml. It's like any other widget plugin.
