Title: Cannot connect to the internet
Post by: druplex on May 30, 2017, 04:10:15 PM
Hi all,

Am not new to open source as i have been using pfsense and i just decided to try out opnsense. Funny thing is that my opnsense box can be able to get out to the internet but the local lan cannot. I have enabled DHCP and made sure that client computers are receiving the correct addresses. I had a similar situation when i first installed PFsense but it was easy to rectify as i had to change the upstream gateway to none. I have also checked on the default firewall rules and they are all the same between PFsense and Opnsense.

So what would be happening?

Can you define 'cannot go out to the internet' a bit closer?

Does ping 8.8.8.8 work? Does DNS work? What if you use an external DNS?
